Medical Malpractice Claim in York County, PA

A medical malpractice claim is being brought against doctors in York County, PA. Several years ago, a 9 year old boy fell while playing soccer and injured his ankle. He contracted an infection as a result of this injury that spread to his limbs and resulted in the amputation of both feet and the majority of the digits on his left hand. The family of the boy claims that this infection was misdiagnosed as the flu, and doctors failed to diagnose the infection in time to save his feet and fingers from amputation. Additionally, the family says the doctors failed to diagnose a genetic disorder that disrupts normal clotting of the blood cells, which aggravated his injuries. The boy, now in 10th grade, uses prosthetics that will need to be replaced every year and half until he is finished growing.
Medical malpractice is hard to prove in the legal world, but negligent doctors and hospitals should be held accountable when failing to properly diagnose or implement improper treatments that lead to severe injuries. Pain, suffering, medical bills (both past and future) and a lost earnings are just a portion of the hardships that patients have to endure as a result of medical malpractice. If you feel that you or a loved one has been a victim of hospital negligence that led to severe injury, please contact our law office for a consultation with Attorney Doug Stoehr.
